Best time to visit
The dry season from June to October is the best time for wildlife viewing along the riverbanks.
Access is primarily via light aircraft to airstrips within Nyerere National Park or by 4x4 vehicle from Dar es Salaam. Boat safaris are subject to water levels and park regulations; visitors must pay standard park entry fees to access the river areas within the national park.
