Sangaiwe Gate is the main entry and exit point for Burunge Wildlife Management Area, on the southern (Lake Burunge) side of the reserve at Sangaiwe village — one of the WMA's ten member villages. Visitors register and pay the WMA conservation fee here before continuing into the Lake Burunge tourism zone and its lodges. The gate sits on community land between Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara, on the Kwakuchinja wildlife corridor.

Know before you go

Reached from the A104/B144 Great North Road via the signed 'Burunge' turn-off (about 29 km south of Minjingu) and the bush road into the WMA. WMA conservation fees are collected here (verify current rates; roughly US$10 per adult and US$5 per child plus a bed-night levy, excluding VAT). The WMA secretariat headquarters is at Mwada village.
