Angama Mara
A luxury tented lodge perched 1,000ft above the Maasai Mara on the Oloololo Escarpment, directly bordering the Mara Triangle.
Settle into Angama Mara
Angama Mara is a luxury safari lodge set on the edge of the Oloololo Escarpment, with views stretching across the Maasai Mara some 1,000ft below. Its name derives from the Swahili word for 'suspended in mid-air', and every one of its glass-fronted Tented Suites is spread along the edge of the Rift Valley to make the most of the extraordinary view. The 700-hectare site directly borders the Mara Triangle with 1.2km of Rift Valley frontage, its own forests and abundant game, and a private road offering a 10-minute drive to the Reserve entrance. Some of the loveliest scenes from the movie 'Out of Africa' were filmed here.
