Ashnil Aruba Lodge lies in the heart of Tsavo East National Park in Kenya, featuring 46 rooms and 6 tents. Its location is superb, just a couple of hours from the coast of Mombasa and a five-hour leisurely drive from Nairobi, situated on the banks of Aruba Dam which was built in 1952 as a sport-fishing recreational point in the park. Several watering holes nearby attract wildlife, and spotting animals is easy because the park lies flat with savannah grassland. All accommodation is African-inspired, with each room featuring a seating area, wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower and free toiletries. The open-sided restaurant in the main building overlooks the dam from all angles and can seat up to 150 guests, with a canvas-shaded wooden deck for extra seating and warm and cold buffet platforms serving international, oriental and traditional African cuisine.
