Basecamp Wilderness is a small, classically styled tented camp set deep in the tranquil Saddle Valley of the Mara Naboisho Conservancy, channelling the romance and ambience of the safari pioneers while embracing modern responsible tourism. Recently refurbished, its seven guest tents are strategically placed around the valley rim for privacy and sweeping views of the savannah, complemented by a newly added family tent. A characterful dining tent with leather chairs and al fresco meals under the trees or stars completes the experience. Away from the busier parts of the reserve and free of light pollution, the camp is known for outstanding sunrises, night skies and lion sightings across 50,000 acres of private wilderness.
