Kilindi Zanzibar is an intimate, adults-oriented retreat of 15 eastern-styled domed Pavilion villas set among 50 acres of lush tropical garden in Kendwa, on Zanzibar's northwest coast. Originally designed for Benny Andersson of ABBA, the property blends Scandinavian minimalism with the arched, Moorish-influenced architecture of the Middle East, and each Pavilion opens onto wide-arched, wooden-shuttered windows with ocean views. Every villa has its own private plunge pool and a separate rainfall shower room, and guests are looked after by a dedicated villa butler throughout their stay. The resort fronts a secluded powder-white sand beach running for over half a kilometre, with a waterfall bar and 25-metre infinity pool overlooking the Indian Ocean at its Main Pavilion.
