Laba Fanjove
An exclusive private-island beach camp on Fanjove, the smallest island in Tanzania's Songo Songo Archipelago, watched over by a 19th-century lighthouse.
Settle into Laba Fanjove
Laba Fanjove occupies its own private island in the Songo Songo Archipelago off the south-east coast of Tanzania, the smallest of the six islands in this remote, coral-fringed chain. The camp is shaded by coconut palms and bordered by a pristine sandy beach, with a historic 19th-century German-built lighthouse overlooking the bay. Guests swim in crystal-clear turquoise water, snorkel the surrounding coral reefs, and watch for seabirds and dolphins that often glide alongside boats. The island is reached by flying to Songo Songo airstrip from Mafia Island or Dar es Salaam.
