Lemala Ndutu Tented Camp is set up seasonally in the Ndutu region of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, near the border of the Southern Serengeti, on classic flat grassy savannah plains. It is one of the finest locations in Ndutu to witness the wildebeest migration between December and March, when tens of thousands of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle arrive to graze on newly-watered short grass, with the main calving season occurring by February and predators, especially big cats, highly concentrated in the area during these months. The camp is part of Lemala's single mobile camp operation that relocates seasonally between Ndutu and the Northern Serengeti (as Lemala Mara) to follow the migration. Perched on the edge of a permanent marsh, the camp's tents are furnished with two queen-size beds and en suite bathrooms, and communal areas include a mess tent with separate lounge, dining area, and bar, plus an evening campfire for pre-dinner drinks and canapes.
