Lamai
Open-fronted rooms built into the giant boulders of Kogakuria Kopje in the northern Serengeti, overlooking the Mara River migration crossings.
Settle into Lamai
Lamai is Nomad Tanzania's camp on Kogakuria Kopje, a landmark tumble of boulders in the Lamai Wedge of the northern Serengeti, close to the Mara River crossings. The camp is built into and around the rocks so bedrooms and the main mess area are open-fronted with wide views over the plains while remaining discreet from the outside. It comprises two lodges sharing the same site: the 8-room main Lamai lodge and the smaller, exclusive-use 4-room Lamai Private, both with verandahs looking over the northern Serengeti. The area has excellent resident game (lion, leopard, buffalo, plains game) year-round in addition to the July-October wildebeest migration crossings nearby.
