The stay

Settle into Nyikani Migration Camp – Ndutu

Nyikani Migration Camp relocates twice a year within the Serengeti ecosystem to keep guests well placed for the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra. From December through March the camp is sited at Old Ndutu 1 in the Ndutu area, within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area just south of Serengeti National Park, giving easy access to prime game viewing around Lakes Ndutu and Masek. Alongside the nearly two million wildebeest and zebra that move through the area each year, Ndutu is home to cheetah, lion, giraffe, and hundreds of bird species; during February's calving season the wildebeest give birth to around 8,000 calves a day. The camp offers 12 tents in king, twin, triple, or family configuration plus a dedicated family tent, each with a private shaded verandah overlooking the Serengeti ecosystem. From late May through October the same camp moves north to Machwechwe 1 near the Mara River in Northern Serengeti for the river-crossing season.
