Saruni Samburu
An iconic clifftop luxury lodge of six stone villas in the community-owned Kalama Wildlife Conservancy, overlooking 240,000 acres of northern Kenya wilderness.
Settle into Saruni Samburu
Saruni Samburu has achieved iconic status for its stunning setting and the way authentic Samburu culture and community conservation are woven into the luxury safari experience. As the pioneer safari lodge in the community-owned Kalama Wildlife Conservancy, it paved the way for community-centred ecotourism in northern Kenya. Consisting of just six open, spacious stone villas built into and around a towering volcanic rock face high above a steep valley, the lodge offers sweeping vistas over the Northern Frontier District. With access to both the Samburu National Reserve and the Kalama Conservancy, guests can encounter legendary elephant herds and the endangered 'Samburu Special Five'. Two rock-hewn infinity pools, a Samburu Wellbeing Space and a sunken photographic hide complete the experience.
