The Highlands is an architecturally distinctive boutique camp perched on the edge of Olmoti Crater's forest, offering a private and exclusive Ngorongoro experience at the highest elevation in the region. Despite its secluded position, the camp is only an hour's drive from the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for game drives to see lion, elephant, rhino and more. Guests can also hike to the top of Olmoti Crater for sweeping views, walk down to the soda lake in Empakaai Crater to see thousands of flamingos, and take part in cultural visits with the local Maasai community. The camp is open all year round and is a 3-hour drive from Lake Manyara, its closest airstrip.
