The Panari Resort sits at roughly 2,360 m on the eastern rim of the Thomson's Falls gorge, a few minutes from Nyahururu town centre, and looks across the gorge towards the Ewaso Ng'iro river and Marmanet Forest. It opened in 2016 and has been part of Best Western's BW Signature Collection since 2024, while remaining owned and run by the Panari hotel group. Most accommodation is in stand-alone stone cottages of four rooms each, reached by golf cart, with fireplaces, balconies and walk-in showers. Interconnecting family rooms sit in the main building near the restaurant, and two private villas (the Executive Villa and the Presidential) have their own lounge, kitchenette and garden. Meals are served in the Brown Olive Restaurant, with the Silky Oak Bar and a pool bar and restaurant as alternatives. Facilities include a solar-heated indoor pool, spa, sauna and steam room, gym and yoga classes, a children's play area and four conference rooms. Activities centre on the falls and the surrounding highlands: guided walks to Thomson's Falls and the hippo pools, nature walks and bush breakfasts in Marmanet Forest, birding at Lake Ol Bolossat and game drives to Solio Ranch for rhino. It suits a transit or highland stop between Nairobi, Laikipia and the Rift Valley lakes, families, and conference or wedding groups.
