Umani Springs
An exclusive-use eco-lodge set in the groundwater forest of Kibwezi at the base of the Chyulu Hills, with special access to the Sheldrick Trust's Umani orphaned-elephant reintegration unit.
Settle into Umani Springs
Umani Springs is a place of extraordinary beauty and tranquillity, nestled within the groundwater Kibwezi Forest at the base of the Chyulu Hills. Operated by the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, this secret oasis shelters an array of wildlife, birds and butterflies and is fed by natural springs that keep the forest lush year-round. The lodge is taken on an exclusive-use basis, offering complete privacy with spacious rooms, a swimming pool and open living and dining areas that blend into the forest. Guests enjoy special access to the Trust's Umani Reintegration Unit, established in 2014 as a sanctuary for the most vulnerable orphaned elephants with the most challenging histories, as they find their way back to the wild.
