Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge
Cliff-top lodge on the Mto wa Mbu escarpment overlooking Lake Manyara National Park, with bird-inspired architecture, circular rondavel rooms, and an infinity pool.
Settle into Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge
Set on Tanzania's towering Mto wa Mbu escarpment, Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge offers a peaceful location amidst the rich wildlife and tranquility of Lake Manyara National Park. The lake is home to over 300 migratory bird species including flamingoes, long-crested eagles and grey-headed kingfishers; the lodge's architecture mimics this birdlife, with swooping avian curves and vibrantly coloured wall frescoes depicting migratory patterns. Accommodation is housed in circular, double-storey whitewashed 'rondavels' spread along the cliff edge for incredible views, with interior decor echoing the blue of the lake and pink of its flamingoes, hand-woven rugs, and Maasai beadwork furnishings. The Losimingori Suite adds a separate sitting area, flat-screen TV and balcony. Flamingo Restaurant is designed to replicate a Maasai boma and opens onto a terrace with lake views, complemented by bush dining experiences including bush breakfast, village lunch, sundowners on the escarpment, and themed bush dinners. The lodge also offers a heated infinity pool, Maisha Spa, archery, yoga, and Swahili and cooking lessons, plus a conference space for up to 80 guests.
