Solio Lodge offers a fresh, contemporary take on safari comfort, set in a valley between Mount Kenya National Park and the Aberdare National Park north of Nairobi. Owned by The Safari Collection, this simple, modern designer lodge veers away from a traditional rustic feel to embrace a clean look with plants, greenery and contemporary artwork throughout, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors framing spectacular views over the Solio Game Sanctuary. The lodge comprises five individual cottages, each spaced well apart and surrounded by greenery, with private sundecks, open fireplaces, sumptuous beds and deep double-ended bubble baths; one is a spacious family unit. A kitchen shamba (garden) supplies fresh organic produce for farm-to-fork dining. The conservation fees guests pay directly support the Solio Conservancy and its successful rhino breeding programme, home to prolific numbers of both black and white rhino alongside other wildlife.
